Overview of the Role: The Equity Research Associate will work under the sector head and directly support the investment research process. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: development and maintenance of financial models, survey construction/results interpretation, regulatory filing/conference call reviews, and other company / industry specific research and due diligence. The candidate will help synthesize all aspects of the fundamental research process to make clear investment recommendations to institutional investor clients through written reports and oral presentations.
Qualifications: 1. Exceptional academic background in a finance related field. Masters a plus. 2. Ability to collaborate and develop relationships to enable effective completion of business objectives 3. Strong modeling skills required – need to be proficient in building and maintaining financial models 4. Ability to analyse financial data with the ability to accumulate, organize and assimilate large amounts of information 5. Possess of SAC General Practicing License, with Securities Analysts Exam passed 6. Strong interpersonal and investigative skills, including the ability to probe for detail 7. Strong verbal and written communication skills 8. Excellent PC skills; advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint a must
