Credit Risk Officer

Location: Beijing

Description - External
• A credit officer role will handle the credit risk taken to corporate, FI and retail counterparties, such as in share-backed financing business, margin financing, derivatives trading business etc.
•Credit risk analysis: Participate in due diligence meetings with each client; review and analysis of constitutional documentation; qualitative, quantitative and financial analysis to figure out internal credit ratings and risks at both the client group and individual client level; and ultimately determination of our credit risk appetite
•Trading or Financing documentation: participate in negotiation of legal documentation and liaising with our Legal department, as appropriate
•Monitor the solvency condition of each deal
•Raise any issues or deterioration in credit profile
•Liaise with colleagues in other departments including Legal, Operations, and business divisions both locally and globally
•Trade approvals: Analyze, and make credit enhancement recommendations on different type of transactions to be approved by the relevant credit officer
•Work closely with front office and other support areas (e.g. Legal) in the creation of client solutions, as required
•Dedicatedly handle credit risk by keeping abreast of market conditions and anticipate any potential adverse impact on the portfolio
•Prepare New Business initiatives from credit risk management perspective, including setting up policies, controls, credit risk management strategies etc.

Qualifications - External
•You have at least Bachelor Degree; professional qualification such as CFA or FRM or CPA would be a plus.
•You have at least 5 years relevant credit analysis and approval experience at a major securities company, bank, or rating agency.
•You have strong analytical skills; good product knowledge of credit business of securities companies, such as share-backed financing, margin financing, as well as financing agreements and master agreements for derivatives.
•You have the ability to work on larger structured and financing transactions.
•You have due diligence - able to lead and participate in client due diligence meetings independently.
•You are an ambitious and self-starting team-player, with strong communication, problem solving and negotiation skills.
•You possess strong interpersonal skills, especially influencing and personal impact, and people manager to coach the junior team members.
•Professional proficiency in English.
•SAC securities practice qualification is required before onboarding.
