Ops Proprietary team manager
Location: BeiJing Core Activities and Responsibilities: • Team lead and responsible for the Ops Proprietary support and represent relevant business control and project progress to management. • Manage teams supporting Proprietary operations, including duties on Account management, Data management, Project management, Clearing and settlement, System testing and Regulatory report etc. • Collaborating with FO (Prop/IBCM) and other key stakeholders (e.g. Compliance, IT, Finance etc.) and acting as a control and subject matter expert for prop business support. • Keep close track with latest market rules and business requirement, partnership with all relevant functions for effective operation. • Ensure all processes and procedures are well-documented and risk control points are well followed by the team members. • People management, talent management of direct and indirect reports, and performance management. You Offer: Qualifications and Skills: • Over 5 years of operational and middle office experience specifically securities brokerage or banking division, with a proven track record of managing teams, processes, functions and driving change. • Strong communication skills essential for interacting at all levels across business disciplines, regions as well as strong influencing skills. • Capable of assertively interacting with business stakeholders and regions / branches (internal stakeholders) in order to resolve day to day issues, control risks and improve operational efficiency. • Good understanding of local Regulatory and Compliance, internal Risk and Control framework governing operations & projects. • Familiar with domestic and oversea financial market and securities products, rich experience on interbank support and OTC derivatives a plus. • Able to work under bilingual environment and smooth communication with onshore/offshore counterparts. • China securities qualification certificate a must and Interbank settlement certificate a plus.
