COO for APAC Financing Group in China

Location: Beijing
The APAC Financing Group is a business offering unique and integrated approach to deliver financing solutions for APAC clients, spanning UHNW, Entrepreneur and Corporate client segments.  We are an integral part of the APAC strategy.
We Offer:
We are currently seeking an exceptional individual to serve as a member of the APAC Financing Group COO Asia Pacific team. Reporting into the APAC Financing Group COO, this individual will enjoy a broad and critical remit, including but not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
•  Support the business heads in strategic planning and execution of the business plans including driving new business initiatives
•  Integral member of the team managing the operational and control platform
•  Review and optimize existing business processes with the aim of reducing potential operational, regulatory or legal risks
•  Ensure a robust and effective supervisory and control framework, working closely with Corporate and other support functions
•  Implement effective processes and information management to identify and mitigate operational, financial, tax, market, credit, legal, and other risks
•  Coordinate and manage internal/external audits, reviews and regulatory inspections
•  Analyze departmental processes, controls and platforms for effectiveness and efficiency, identify areas of operational vulnerability and lead the development of remediation
•  Run costs analysis, identify and implement efficiency opportunities

The successful candidate will offer an outstanding track record of delivery and will be able to clearly demonstrate the following attributes:
•  5-10 years of relevant financial services experience with prior experience as COO a distinct advantage
•  Good presentation skills
•  Numeracy skills will be key
•  Self-starter with ability to work independently and to be proactive
•  Relevant regulatory knowledge and understanding of Financing business will be a plus
•  Strategic in approach and possess relationship-building and interpersonal skills
•  Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and high attention to detail are critical to success
•  Demonstrated ability to manage conflict, build consensus, and facilitate collaboration to achieve a positive outcome
•  Project Management: Support key business development projects
•  Performance Measurement: Proactive and assertive team player comfortable working across various departments to enhance operational processes and controls
